What we act on directly
- Child sexual abuse material
- Terrorist or violent extremist content
- Threats or incitement to violence
- Non-consensual intimate imagery
- Counterfeit or unsafe goods
- Publication of someone’s personal data
- Defamation
- Fraud or a scam
- Other illegal content
For copyright complaints use the DMCA process instead — it has its own statutory requirements and its own counter-notice route. For content that breaks our rules but is not illegal, use the Report control on the item itself.
What happens after you submit
You get a reference number immediately. We review the report and, where we act, we record whether the reason was that the content is illegal or that it is incompatible with our terms — those are different decisions and we do not blur them.
If you give us an email address we tell you the outcome. If you report anonymously we cannot, and the receipt will say so rather than promise an update that will never arrive.
