Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RepairYour.Tech, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Platform Services

RepairYour.Tech provides:

• Device Passport — a cryptographically verifiable repair history for consumer devices
• Shop Directory — a searchable index of certified and verified repair shops
• Certification System — platform-verified technician credentials across 8 device categories
• Marketplace — buyer-protected marketplace for parts, tools, and refurbished devices; payment is held by our payment provider until the order is confirmed complete
• Community Forums — authenticated technician discussion boards

3. Platform Credits

Platform Credits are closed-loop account credits issued by RepairYour.Tech for RepairYour.Tech first-party services, including diagnostics, device-history lookups, hiring listings, and platform subscription metering.

• Credits are not legal tender, bank deposits, stored cash accounts, or payment instruments for third-party sellers.
• Credits may not be sold, assigned, transferred between users, or used to fund seller, technician, shop, supplier, or support-provider payouts.
• Credits do not expire and RepairYour.Tech does not charge service, dormancy, maintenance, or inactivity fees.
• Paid credit balances under $15 may be requested for cash-out where required by law or under our nationwide small-balance policy; promotional, bonus, loyalty, or administrative credits are not cash redeemable unless required by law.

4. User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information when creating an account or registering a device
• Do not submit fraudulent repair records or falsify certification evidence
• Do not attempt to manipulate trust scores or review systems
• Respect intellectual property rights of parts manufacturers and repair documentation authors

5. Shop Obligations

Certified shops agree to maintain accurate capability declarations, submit verifiable repair records within 48 hours of service completion, and respond to consumer disputes within 5 business days.

6. Limitation of Liability

RepairYour.Tech is a trust and verification platform, not a repair service. We do not perform repairs, guarantee repair quality, or assume liability for repair outcomes. Our role is to make repair history transparent and verifiable.
